The village is situated at the foot of the Kitzsteinhorn glacier (near Zell am See), a year round ski vacation paradise - especially for those who appreciate an active sports vacation and for those who long for recreation in an untouched area.
Kaprun village offers the attractive recreation center 'Optimum' and numerous other sports activities. Ski school, ski kindergarten and ski rental shops are conveniently located.
The new ‘Gletscher Jet' takes you up to the glacier (3000 m) and opens up a wide area of well prepared slopes. It is ideal for 'jetters' and for those who would like to get that desirable glacier tan. The glacier is perfect for fast downhill racing, practising on soft slopes , or carving your own tracks in the fresh virgin snow.

- Ski lessons / Ski kindergarten (minimum age 4 years.) Approximate cost for 1, 2 and 3 days is € 49.-, € 89.- and € 115.-. Lift passes and equipment rental is not included.
- 3 day glacier lift pass – approximate cost adult € 94.50, children born between 1993– 2002
€ 49.50.-, youth born between 1990 - 1992 € 79.-, No charge for children born 2003 or later.
- Ski equipment rental – top quality for 3 days: At the middle station on the glacier (Alpincenter), including storage and damage insurance – adult appx. € 61.-, children up to 15 yrs appx. € 30.50 (same price for ski or snow board set).
At the rental shop(s) in Zell am See, with damage insurance, but without storage on the glacier: Adult appx. € 44.-, children up to 14 years and ski length of 140 cm appx. € 22.-. Snow board appx. € 55.- for adults and appx. € 28.- for children up to 14 yrs.

This comfortable hotel is located only 150 yards off the main road between Zell am See and Mittersill - not far from the centre of Kaprun and in close proximity to the Kitzsteinhorn glacier. It offers space for 50 guests in comfortable, nicely furnished rooms all having full private facilities and TV. Pleasant dining room with very fine menu. Beer - and wine stube for evening gatherings plus lounge and sauna facilities. Early bookings recommended!
